We take potential threats seriously, even more so after the fertility clinic bomber was found to be a lemmy user.

The mod who removed it disagreed, I also disagree and would have removed it as well.

When ascertaining a threat, agencies use “immenence” as a primary marker. So saying something like “Hey, every now and then we need to guillotine these bastards.” Is fine.

Saying “Hey, every now and then we need to guillotine these bastards, how does Tuesday sound, does Tuesday work for you?” has a level of immenence that the first statement lacks.

The call to action is shedding blood, immediately. That’s removable.

I pasted the removed quote from the modlog and added the quotes around it to make it clear I was quoting it, the original removed comment had no quote marks at all.

Mod accounts are typically created specifically to be mods. I did the same thing. They asked me to be a mod from my lemmy.one account and I thought it was weird to be modding lemmy.world from lemmy.one so I spun up this account and it was made a mod.

Same thing happened with another mod (who has now been de-modded). That was a legit case of PTB where they started making unilateral changes to the community without consulting the other mods.

Ignorant is insulting other users in a community that explicitly forbids it.

Stupid is failing to take the hint, doubling down and earning a temp ban, and then going after the mod in PMs.

Let me ask you a question… You’ve seen sports, right? I mean, maybe not as a fan or anything, but you’ve seen basketball, football, baseball, games, right? Even a tennis match?
